Cancellation & refund policy
Plans change. Here’s exactly what you get back, and when.
Last updated 18 October 2026In short
- Cancel 30+ days before travel and get 90% back.
- Zero cancellation gives a full refund up to 24 hours before.
- Refunds to wagoCash are instant; bank refunds take 5–7 working days.
- If wago cancels a trip, you get 100% back.
How refunds are worked out
For refundable bookings, your refund depends on how many days before the travel date (or check-in date) you cancel. The same slabs apply across group trips, stays, holidays, trains, buses, cabs and activities unless the booking says otherwise.
The refund is calculated on the amount you’ve paid, including any wagoCash used. Coupon discounts aren’t refunded as cash.
Zero cancellation
Add Zero cancellation at checkout to cancel for any reason and get a full refund, as long as you cancel at least 24 hours before travel. The add-on fee itself isn’t refunded.
Non-refundable bookings
Some fares and rates are cheaper because they can’t be refunded, such as sale fares, some hotel deals and confirmed Tatkal train tickets. They are tagged Non-refundable before you pay. Cancelling them gives no refund, though airport and government taxes on flights may be claimable where the airline allows it.
Group & weekend trips
- Booking amount: pay 10% to reserve your seat. The balance is due 15 days before departure.
- Free date change: move to another departure up to 15 days before, subject to seats. The credit stays valid for 12 months.
- If we cancel: if a departure is cancelled by wago (weather, safety or low numbers), you get a 100% refund or a free move to another date.
- Mid-trip exits: if you leave a trip midway, unused services aren’t refunded.
- Weather and roadblocks: captains may change the route for safety. Extra costs from landslides or closures are shared by the group at cost.
Flights
Flight refunds follow the airline’s fare rules, combined with the slabs above for wago’s portion. If the airline cancels or reschedules by more than two hours, you can choose a full refund or a free change, with no wago fee. Refunds reach you as soon as the airline releases them.
Trains, buses & cabs
- Trains: cancellation charges follow Indian Railways rules. Waitlisted tickets that don’t confirm are cancelled automatically with a full refund.
- Buses: slabs above, or the operator’s policy if it’s stricter (shown at booking).
- Cabs: free cancellation up to 2 hours before pickup on most rides, then the slabs above.
When you’ll get your money
- To wagoCash: instant. Use it on your next booking.
- To your original payment method: 5–7 working days after cancellation. UPI is usually fastest.
- Bank refunds: we share a reference number so you can track it with your bank.
